Although most of CONCACAF’s confederations currently lie dormant, the decision makers have been hard at work and with Qatar 2022 quickly coming into focus, there is perhaps good news for some of their lesser nations. News that comes in the redesign of the qualification process and in doing so, it means the level of protectionism afforded to the likes of the United States and Mexico, has now been somewhat eroded.
