With American soccer’s most elite members club currently standing at 26 invitees, plans were afoot to swell those ranks and with as many as four new locations in the fold, that figure was soon to swell to 30. A number that when compared to almost a quarter century ago, is triple the amount of teams in the competition and this alone, is testament to the growth and hard work that has been carried out by the likes of Don Garber in the past 25 years.
