A wait of 100 days is enough for any party, no matter what the wait is for and when you consider that the Premier League had to take a hiatus of this length, the clamour for its return was nothing short of outstanding. A return that at the start of June, saw the English game move into a phase of new normality and although the competition may be slightly different to what we’re already used to, its return has been an overwhelmingly positive one.
